Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500g Beef Hack (or veggie hack)
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 3–4 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cans red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 cups broth (beef, bone, chicken, or vegetable), plus more as needed

Toppings

  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped green onions
  • Tabasco sauce

Instructions

Cook the Onions

Add onions and cook 5–7 minutes until soft and translucent.
Add salt, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, and sugar. Stir well.
Mix in tomato paste and cook 1–2 minutes, stirring continuously.
Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce; bring to a simmer.

Return Meat & Add Beans

Once simmering, return bacon and ground beef to the pot.
Add kidney beans and 2–3 cups low-sodium broth.
Mix well to combine.

Simmer

Simmer for 15–20 minutes (longer if you prefer deeper flavor).
Adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or spices.
Add additional broth if the chili becomes too thick.
