Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 small Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash: Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired consistency.
  3. Add flavor: Add lime juice, salt, cumin, and cayenne (if using). Mix well.
  4. Mix in veggies: Stir in onion, tomatoes, garlic, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using).
  5. Taste and adjust: Adjust seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or spice as needed.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with chips, tacos, or your favorite dish.
